Initial consultations for all lessons will be conducted online through Zoom® or outdoors (weather permitting).

All packages include resource material, pre-scheduled lesson dates/times, emailed lesson summaries, email and phone support. Single consult/assessment are also available on a limited availability.
We service Port Alberni, Coombs, Qualicum, Parksville. Nanaimo and Comox Valley are also serviced on a limited basis depending on need.

Just needing some insight on your dog’s behaviour? Need a better understanding of how training works? This option is for you. The consultation will start in your home where your dog is most comfortable, then head outside if required. Shelagh will meet with you and your dog to discuss overall learning theory and suggest training options. If you’re looking for further training guidance, the package pricing below will be pro-rated to include this initial consult.*

Do you have a great dog, with great manners, but there’s a few little challenges you’d like some guidance with? This package is for those looking to work on one or two specific behaviours such as pulling on leash, jumping on people, impulse control, poor recall, etc.

Welcome Home!
We support adoption and rescue so this package is designed for your newly adopted dog*, either from a shelter, rescue organization or private rehoming. We’ll cover how to integrate your dog in his new home, develop routines, and cover the basics of training to guide you toward a fulfilling relationship. If your new rescue is displaying on-leash reactivity or other challenging behaviours, please consider our S.O.S. program.

This package is specific to those struggling with complex behaviour challenges, such as fear-based human aggression, reactivity on leash to people/dogs/other stimulus, extreme over-all fearful behaviour, etc.
